In September, the Mammootty-Jomon team's popular 4K Dolby Atmos film "Samrajyam" will be re-released
The 1990 film Samrajyam, which was directed by Jomon and starred megastar Mammootty, is being re-released in 4K Dolby Atmos. The movie will be re-released in September 2025, according to the makers. The process of converting the movie to 4K Dolby Atmos is presently underway. Shibu Chakravarthy wrote the screenplay, which was produced by Ajmal Hassan under the Arifa Productions label. Arifa Release is the distributor of the movie. Mammootty's biggest 1990s film was Samrajyam. This movie's production cost at the time ranged from Rs 75 lakh to Rs 1 crore.
The film was praised for its superb production value and portrayed Mammootty as a fashionable hero. Benz vehicles and other items were featured extensively in the movie, which astounded viewers with its fashionable and striking images. During its 100–200-day run in Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Karnataka, the film also attracted a lot of attention from viewers for its amazing usage of slow motion. It also has the unique quality of being a songless movie with only Ilayaraja's background music. After being shocked to witness the movie, Ilayaraja, who had first pulled out because it lacked songs, was willing to contribute background music.
