Varthamanam is a Malayalam pan-India movie. Parvathy Thiruvothu plays a research student named Faiza Sophia. Roshan Mathew and Siddique also play notable roles. The theme of the presentation is the challenges and crises faced by a girl from Malabar who went to a university in Delhi to do research on freedom fighter Muhammad Abdul Rahman. The film discusses the political and social problems facing contemporary Indian society. Parvati plays a research student named Faiza Sophia.

The movie was shot in two schedules in Delhi, Uttarakhand, and Kerala. Mammootty unveiled the first look poster of the movie through his Facebook page on 5^th March 2020. The film is set to release in theaters with the approval of the Central Censor Board Revising Committee.

Varthamanam movie was released on March 12^th of 2021. The digital streaming of the movie Varthamanam will be on 11^th March 2022 through Manorama MAX.
