Sohan Seenulal started his film career as the asst. director of Malayalam' hitmakers Siddique and Shafi. 'Unlock' is his third movie. Earlier projects as the director are 'Doubles' and 'Vanyam'.
'Unlock' is a very interesting portrayal of the changes and identities that take place in family relationships during the COVID-19 lockdown.
'Unlock' started shooting in Ernakulam. Director and producer B Unnikrishnan did the switch-on ceremony on 15th October 2020. The first look poster released by actor Mammootty on 23rd November 2020 through his social media handles.
