Paappan is a Malayalam crime thriller movie directed by the master craftsman Joshiy after the super hit Porinju Mariam Jose. The script is written by RJ Shaan after C/O Saira Banu from the story idea of Rajeesh Balu. Suresh Gopi plays the lead character with Poomaram and The Kung Fu Master fame Neeta Pillai, Sunny Wayne, Kanika, Nyla Usha, Asha Sharath, Gokul Suresh Gopi, Vijayaraghavan, Janardhanan, Shammi Thilakan, Binu Pappu, and Swasika are also in the cast. The movie Paappan is produced by David Kachappally under the banner of David Kachappilly Productions in association with Iffaar Media of Raaffi Mathirra. Sujith J Nair and Shaji Ckm are the co-producers, and Sebastian Kondooparampil and Thomas John from the USA are the executive producers. ~~(ads)~~

Filming will start on 5^th March 2021 at St. Dominic's Cathedral, Kanjirappally. The major locations are Erattupetta, Kanjirappally, Pala, and Thodupuzha. After a long time, Joshi and Suresh Gopi reunite after seven years. This is the first film in which Suresh Gopi and his son Gokul Suresh acted together.

The motion poster of the movie was released on 14^th January 2022 through Saina Movies. The motion poster video shows him lighting a cigarette on his lips and coming out of the darkness into the light. Suresh Gopi appeared on the poster in a mass look. Paappan movie was released worldwide in theaters by Sree Gokulam Movies of Gokulam Gopalan through Dream Big Films on July 29^th of 2022. The movie Paappan's world digital premiere is on 7^th September 2022, only on ZEE5.

Synopsis
