Vilayath Budha is a Malayalam movie in loving memory of Director Sachy. The cinema is based on GR Indugopan's novel "Vilayath Buddha". GR Indugopan and Rajesh Pinnadan are jointly writing the screenplay. Produced by Sandeep Senan and Aneesh M Thomas under the banner of Urvashi Theaters.

The battle between a guru and his robber disciple in the jungles of Marayoor for a rare sandalwood stick. Late Sachy had planned to direct the project. Debut Jayan Nambiar, associate director with Prithviraj in Lucifer and Sachi in Ayyappanum Koshiyum directing the film.

The first look poster of the movie was released on the first anniversary of the release of the beloved hitmaker Sachi's Ayyappanum Koshiyum. Jayan Nambiar was the associate director of Sachi's last film.
