Varaal Malayalam political thriller drama movie directed by Kannan Thamarakulam. Features Anoop Menon, Prakash Raj, and Sunny Wayne as the lead characters. The story, screenplay, and dialogues by the actor cum director Anoop Menon. The movie Varaal is produced by PA Sebastien under the banner of Time Ads Entertainment after the 2012 hit Trivandrum Lodge and the executive producers are Deepa Sebastian and KR Prakash. The film also stars Saikumar, Adil Ibrahim, Edavela Babu, Sudheer Sukumaran (Dracula Sudheer), Kollam Thulasi, Ramesh Valiyasala, Manuraj, Akhil Prabhakaran, Balaji Sarma, Vijayan V Nair, Mohammad Faisal, Janatha Vijayan, Jayakrishnan, Jibi Abraham, Jais Jose, Sudheer Cherthala, Meghanadhan, Irshad, Suresh Krishna, Shankar Ramakrishnan, Renji Panicker, Hareesh Peradi, Senthil Krishna, Shivaji Guruvayoor, Mithun, Dinesh Prabhakar, Tito Wilson, Vijay Nellis, Mohammad Faisal, Bineesh Bastin, Madhuri Braganza, Priyanka, Gowri Nandha, Malaa Parvathi, Sobha Singh, and Nitha Promy. ACP Lalaji, a senior police officer from Kochi, also be seen in the lead role. Apart from Anoop Menon, Prakash Raj, and Sunny Wayne, different faces of Nandu, Suresh Krishna, Hareesh Peradi, Ranji Panicker, Senthil Krishna, and Shankar Ramakrishnan will be in the film.

After the all-time hit movie Twenty-20, 'Varaal' will be released in Malayalam featuring around 50 South Indian mainstream artists. The movie tells the story of a perfect political honeytrap with a lot of emotion. After Trivandrum Lodge, Varaal also has the distinction of being scripted by Anoop Menon for the Time Ads film. With the hashtag "Race, Religion, Retribution", the film Varaal is said to be a political suspense thriller filled with the nuances of contemporary politics. The major location of the cinema is Ernakulam, Thiruvananthapuram, and Kuttikkanam, a hill station in the Idukki district. The shoot started in the first week of September 2021 and filming was completed on 15^th October 2021. Anoop Menon himself has informed us about the shooting through social media that the film's final schedule is in progress in London on 20^th June 2022.The movie was shot on a large budget on a large canvas and completed very quickly.
