Nizhalazham Malayalam movie written and directed by Rahul Raj who has worked as an associate director in several films. Features Siji Pradeep, who has won the Special Jury Mention for his performance in Bharathapuzha at the State Awards, Bilas Chandrahasan Nair is best known for his films Veeram, Sexy Durga, and Bhayanakam, Vivek Vishwam is best known for his films My Father My hero and Simon Daniel, Akhila Nath is best known for her role in Nithyaharitha Nayakan, and Pavakkoothu artist K Viswanath Pulavar plays the lead characters. The movie is jointly produced by Suresh Ramanthali and Vivek Viswam under the banners of SR Films and Essar Films Films in association with IFTA.

For the first time in the world cinema a movie based on 'Tholpavakoothu'.

The title poster of the movie was unveiled on 18^th October 2021 by VK Sreekandan, MP at Ottapalam a town in the Palakkad district. The function was held at Ottapalam Vyapara Bhavan and was attended by prominent film personalities and IFTA Cinema Union activists. The official trailer and NFT of the movie 'Nizhalazham' are to be released at Cannes Film Festival. Nizhalazham and Lokesh Kanakaraj's 'Vikram' starring Kamal Haasan, Vijay Sethupathi, and Fahadh Faasil are the only films from India to deserve this recognition.

The music for the film Nizhalazham is composed by Hari Venugopal with the lyrics by Suresh Ramanthali.
