Thampy Antony plays the role of the headmaster and Babu Antony plays the headmaster's son.

The Headmaster is the adaptation of the famous story Pothichoru by the famous short story writer Karoor. The movie depicts the suffering of school teachers in the early days of Indian independence. The movie follows the life of a teacher who has to contend with his own life situation and destiny.

Headmaster movie also has the distinction of being a film by seven eminent Malayalam directors. The movie is directed by Rajeev Nath and produced by Sreelal Devraj (Subhadram 2017), screenwriter KB Venu (August Club 2013), actors Madhupal and Shankar Ramakrishnan, Chief Associate Director Shibu Gangadharan (Praise the Lord 2014, Rudra Simhasanam 2015), Art Director Radhakrishnan also known as RK (Football 1982) are joining together for a cinema. The movie also adds to the awkwardness of RK's 50^th year of his film career.

Kavalam Sreekumar composes music for the movie "Headmaster" with lyrics of famous poet Prabha Varma. The movie is the first movie to have Kavalam Sreekumar composing music.

Three generations of the world of Malayalam cinema come together in the movie Headmaster. P Jayachandran Malayalam singer who is 75 years old and still has the sweetness of love in his voice. Kavalam Srikumar is the son of Kavalam Narayana Panicker, a teacher of unique plays and music. And the new voice of the new generation, Nithya Mammen. The reunion of generations in the world of music has already become a topic of discussion in the world of cinema.

The shooting of the movie Headmaster starts on January 14^th, 2022 in Thiruvananthapuram. Writer Zacharia did the switch on and the first clap by Thampy Antony, the headmaster of the movie. Director Rajeev R Nath, Ashok R Nath, Producer Sreelal Devraj, Babu Antony, Madhupal, Shankar Ramakrishnan, Kavalam Sreekumar, Screenwriter KB Venu, Cinematographer Praveen Panicker, and many others were present on the occasion. The filming of the movie Headmaster is completed in Thiruvananthapuram.
