Ezhuthola: Saga of Alphabets is a Malayalam movie written and directed by Suresh Unnikrishnan. Features Shankar and Nisha Sarang as the lead characters, along with Shankar, Hemanth Menon, Krishna Prasad, and Jayakrishnan. The movie Ezhuthola is produced by actor T Shanker and Satheesh Shenoy under the banner of Otio Entertainments LLP, the first movie produced by Shanker's new production company, and Jaimes Mathew (London) is the executive producer. The movie Ezhuthola is about the changes that have been made to the educational system in our nation, particularly in Kerala, and how these changes have affected children, parents, teachers, and society as a whole. Ezhuthola means the Palm leaf used to record writings.

In the forty-second year of Shanker’s film career, he started a production company in 2022, and in the years to come, Shanker will start a new project to produce some good films in all languages. Famous actor Shankar produced a movie after a gap of 36 years. He did not make another movie after 'Chekkaran Oru Chilla' in 1986, directed by Sibi Malayil, and Shankar himself was the hero. He will be active in production as well as acting, and Shankar intends to make short films and documentaries along with cinema. He has previously directed three movies under the name Shankar Panicker. Shankar recently acted in Prithviraj's 2021 movie 'Bhramam'.

Shanker unveiled the first look poster of 'Ezhuthola' and announced the movie on 19^th February 2022. Shanker said that he is presenting the movie with a very different theme in the hope that it will be a novelty for Malayalam cinema. He also hopes for support for all the movies he makes.

The music of the movie Ezhuthola is composed by Prasanth Karma with the lyrics by Bilu Padmini Narayanan and sync sound by Adarsh Joseph Palamattam.

Synopsis

The Malayalam movie "Ezhuthola" begins with recollections of "NANDAN," who is looking for his tutor, "PARUKUTTY ASATHI," who taught him the first alphabet in the manner of the previous semi-Gurukul educational system. Through her son, "Nandan" learned of "ASATHI's" painful and upsetting last days. In the church veranda, the ASATHI had taught her traditional alphabet lessons. Subsequently, the church administration informed ASATHI to cease classes on the church veranda in order to create a new, self-financing school in the private sector. (ads) ASATHI died after the startling event of being banished from the church veranda. The movie ends with "NANDAN" and "RAVI," ASATHI's son, and the locals working together to restore the public school and revitalize ASATHI's memory.
