Kotthu Malayalam political thriller movie directed by Sibi Malayil. Features notable Malayalam youth actor Asif Ali and coming to the front row actor Roshan Mathew presenting the central characters with Nikhila Vimal as the heroine. The movie Kothth is produced by director and screenwriter Ranjith and PM Sasidharan under the banner of Gold Coin Motion Picture Company and Agnivesh Ranjith is the executive producer. The screenplay is written by Hemant Kumar, a six-time winner of the Kerala State Government Award for Best Drama Writer. Ranjith plays another important role in the movie with Vijilesh, Sreelakshmi, Sreenith Ravi, Sivan Sopanam, Atul Ramkumar, Dinesh Alleppey, and many newcomers.

The movie is based on the story of two young men, Shanu and Sumesh.Kotthu movie delves into the political and social life of North Malabar. There are families in the society who are orphaned due to political malice and the movie tells them not to repeat this. And the joys, losses, pains, and love of family life accompany the story.

Directors Sibi Malayil and Ranjith reunite after 22 years, the all-time super hit Malayalam movie 'Summer in Bethlehem'. The shooting of the film started on a very special day. The shooting started on the 10^th day of October, the 10^th month of 2020.
