The movie Aarattu Mundan is produced by MD Sibilal and KP Raj Vakkayil (Dubai) under the banner of Ayana Movies. The story, dialogues, and executive producer of the movie is Rajesh Illath, and the screenplay is jointly penned by Rajesh Illath and producer MD Sibilal.

The plot of the movie revolves around a politician named Murali who came to serve the country without any benefit to his own house or family. The film also tells the story of Murali and his four friends' love affair with Murali. The film travels through this love affair and political context and is presented in a way that is mentally entertaining to all Malayalee audiences alike.

The pooja and switch-on of the movie 'Arattmundan' were held in Thodupuzha on 15^th April 2022. SI AR Krishnan Nair of Thodupuzha police station led the first bhadradeepam and switch-on and the first clap was done by renowned makeup designer Pattanam Sha.

The music for the film Aarattu Mundan is composed by Perumbavoor G Raveendranath with the lyrics by H Salam (MLA) and Rajasree Pillai, the songs are sung by playback singers Sudeep Kumar, Meenakshi, Sabu Mannar, and Abhijith.
