Puzhu Malayalam family thriller movie directed by newcomer Ratheena Sharshad. Features "Mega Star" Mammootty and Parvathy Thiruvothu as the lead cast along with Nedumudi Venu, Indrans, and Malavika Menon are some of the prominent stars in the cast. The movie Puzhu is produced by S George under the banner of Cyn-Cyl Celluloid and co-production with Dulquer Salmaan's Wayfarer Films. The story is prepared by Harshad after ‘Unda’. After ‘Virus’, Sharfu and Suhas teamed up with Harshad to write the script. Theni Eashwar is the cinematographer. Renish Abdulkhader, Rajesh Krishna, and Shyam Mohan are the executive producers. Manu Jagadh, who is famous for the films Bahubali, Pretham 2, and Minnal Murali, is performing the art direction. The chief associate director of the movie 'Puzhu' is Baby Panikker and Binu G Nair is the associate director.

Theni Eashwar handled the camera for ‘Peranbu’, Dhanush film ‘Karnan’, ‘Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada’, and ‘Paava Kadhaigal’.

The shooting of the movie started in the second week of August 2021 and pack up on 15^th October 2021. This is the third time Mammootty acted in a female director's film, for the first time in Malayalam. Sri Mammootty and Parvathi Thiruvoth share screen space for the first time in the Puzhu movie. The official teaser of the movie has been released on 1^st January 2022 and the trailer on 1^st May 2022. According to reports, Mammootty plays the role of a negative character in the movie.

Puzhu movie was released on May 13^th of 2022 through Sony LIV as a world digital premiere by Dulquer Salmaan of Wayfarer Films as an OTT release. The movie Puzhu has received a clean U censor certificate. Puzhu movie world digital premiere exclusively streaming in 5 Languages on SonyLIV in Malayalam, Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, and Kannada languages. Puzhu is the first direct OTT release of Mammootty in his film career.

Synopsis

With his Hrishikesh also known as Kichu, a retired cop has been living a calm life. He is a single man and his sister wedded a Dalit drama artist, and the moderate in him couldn't deal with that. Alongside that, he was living with the dread that somebody was attempting to kill him. The film discusses a stage in his life where the philosophies he followed became delicate. When the attempts on his life become more frequent, he becomes suspicious of everyone around him, including his little son. Who is following the retired cop and why is he after him?

Synopsis

Madhavan is an ordinary man living in a village with his wife Gauthami and children Neethu and Rahul. An unexpected person came into their happy family life and very soon their happiness and family is destroyed by that person. Madhavan’s was not the first family thus destroyed by that unknown person. But Madhavan is the first one who got ready to take his revenge upon that man.
Madhavan had planned that man’s murder and he executes it. But he not tried to escape from the punishment. He surrendered to the police. But the unexpected turn of events happens in a way that police investigation shows that Madahavan was innocent and that unknown person had died even before Madhavan had killed him. And there are few more people who came out with the claim that they killed that particular person and they also had evidence in their hands to prove that they are the killers.
Then the investigation becomes really interesting and that is what forms the plot of this film.

Prakashan Parakkatte Malayalam movie starring Dileesh Pothan as the titular character, 'Thanneer Mathan Dinangal' fame Mathew Thomas, Saiju Kurup, Aju Varghese, and Dhyan Sreenivasan in lead roles with newcomer Malavika Manoj as the heroine. The story, screenplay, and dialogues by Dhyan after 'Goodalochana', 'Love Action Drama', and '9MM'. Directed by newcomer Shahid, earlier Dhyan Srinivasan's associate director. Funtastic Films' fourth production venture in association with Hit Makers Entertainment is produced by Visakh Subramaniam, Tinu Thomas, and Aju Varghese. Music by Shaan Rahman and Guruprasad is the cinematographer. The movie also stars Sreejith Ravi, Govind V Pai, Nisha Sarang, and Master Rithunjay Sreejith, son of actor Sreejith Ravi.

The first look poster was unveiled on 14^th November 2020, at the auspices occasion of Diwali and children's day by Mammootty, Mohanlal, Prithviraj, Vineeth Sreenivasan, Pranav Mohanlal, Asif Ali, Tovino Thomas, Unni Mukundan, Sunny Wayne, Gokul Suresh, and Kalyani Priyadarshan on social media.

Filming started on 18^th January 2021 in Thiruvambadi, Kozhikode. The main location of the film is the Malabar region.

Shaan Rahman composes the music for the film 'Prakashan Parakkatte' with lyrics by Manu Manjith and BK Harinarayanan. The first video song of the movie "Prakashan Parakkatte" has been released on 21^st May 2022. The song which starts with "Kannu Kondu Nulli Nee ...." sung by Jassie Gift with lyrics by Manu Manjith has been released. The second song of the movie "Prakashan Parakkatte" has been released on 30^th May 2022. The song which starts with "Jeevakasam Kannune Mele ...." sung by Sooraj Santosh with lyrics written by BK Harinarayanan.

Synopsis

Prakashan is a family man from the lower middle class who owns a food store in town. His wife and two sons make up his family.
