Abel Malayalam movie is scripted and directed by debutant Aneesh Jose Moothedan. Features Soubin Shahir in Abel as the titular character with Aditi Ravi as the heroine. The movie Abel is produced by Anil Mathew under the banner of Mary Matha Productions. Nisthar Sait, Lena, Johnny Anthony, Joji Mundakayam of Joji fame, Alencier, Srikanth Murali, Harilal, Harish Pengan, Seema G Nair and Angelina are the lead cast.

The movie Abel is set in the background of hill migrant farmers. Through the film, the story of relationships is told by integrating the land science, customs, and culture of the immigrants and there is also a love story.

Director Aneesh Jose Moothedan is working in VFX direction and ad film field, and now enters the feature film field through 'Abel'.
