Granny Malayalam movie is directed by Kaladharan R Pillai after 21 long years who has given many newcomers to Malayalam cinema. Features child actors Nivin and Parvathy in Granny as the lead characters. The film also stars Thomas K Joseph, Leena Nair, Shobha Mohan, Jayakrishnan, Biju Pappan, Thirumala Ramachandran, Gayathri Subramaniam, Riyas Narmakala, Suresh Babu in other lead roles. The movie Granny is produced by Kaladharan under the banner of Katho Films. The screenplay and dialogues for the film Granny are written by Vinu Abraham from the story of the director Kaladharan. The associate director for the film Granny is Babu Janakiraman.

The film Granny tells the story of the bond between a child and a grandmother, and child actors Nivin, Parvathy and Shobha Mohan are playing the central characters. Granny is directed by Kaladharan, who has helmed some great films like Apoorvam Chilar, Nettippattom, and Nagaravadhu and later gained prominence with several popular television serials on major Malayalam Television channels.

The shooting of the movie Granny started on Sunday 24^th October 2022 in Thiruvananthapuram. It all began when screenwriter Vinu Abraham performed the switch-on ritual in Vellayani 'Souparnnika' and the actor Riyas Narmakala gave the first clap.

The music for the film Granny is composed by Jayan Pisharadi with the lyrics by Kaladharan.

Granny movie was released in theaters on March 24^th of 2023.
