Kirkkan Malayalam crime thriller movie is directed by debutant Josh. Features Salim Kumar, Johny Antony, Maqbool Salmaan, Appani Sarath, Vijayaraghavan, Kani Kusruti, Anarkali Marikar, Meera Vasudevan, Janaki Menon, and Sheethal Shyam in Kirkkan as the lead characters. The movie Kirkkan was produced by Dr. Mathew Mampra under the banner of Mampra Cinemas who won the Film Critics Award for Best Producer. Owl Media Entertainments of Ajith Nair, Bindiya Ajeesh, and Remya Josh are the co-producers of the film. The story, screenplay, and dialogues are written by the director Josh himself. Around twenty-five, new faces from the drama theater sector are also playing notable roles.

The DOP of the movie Kirkkan is Gowtham Lenin and the editor is Rohit VS Variyath. The associate director of the film Kirkkan is Amal Vyas. The movie "Kirkan" with many talents working on the stage and on the set, will be a new experience for movie lovers.

Director Josh has worked with many directors including Major Ravi. Josh is a director who has already won the appreciation of the audience with his masterpieces Poothan and Thumpi.

The story of the crime thriller film Kirkkan is inspired by the death of a girl in a village near Kottayam in 2005 and the local police's investigation into it. Making the audience participate in proving the crime along with the investigating officers. An investigative thriller with suspense and unexpected twists. "Kirkan", which goes through many humorous moments, also exposes a social scourge that remains unchanged despite the passage of time. The experimental film is based on the events of a day at a police station. The shooting was completed in 28 days and Palakkad was the major location. It's been a while in Malayalam since a film like this is coming out with a woman-centric background.

The first-look poster of the movie Kirkkan was unveiled on 20^th February 2023. The first teaser of 'Kirkkan' is out on 4^th March 2023. The teaser has arrived by presenting a mysterious scene in front of the audience. The teaser, which has hidden secrets, ends by keeping the audience on the edge of curiosity. The new poster of the film which hides many secrets has been released.

The music and background score for the film "Kirkkan" is composed by Manikandan Ayyappa with lyrics by Jyothish T Kashi, RJ Ajeesh Saarangi, and Sagar Bharatiyam. Actor Appani Sarath has proved that he can not only act but also sing beautifully. Appani has entered the film playback singing scene by singing for his new film 'Kirkkan'. The song has gone viral on social media. Appani's dance in the song scene has also gained particular attention choreographed by Ramesh Ram.

Kirkkan movie was released in theaters on 2023 July, the makers have announced. Apart from Malayalam, the film is being made in four languages namely Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada.
