In Thodupuzha, an accident happened while the movie Swargathile Katturumbu was being filmed. The car contained actors Chembil Ashokan, Gowri Nandha, and Chali Pala. The actors' car veered off the road during the shooting and collided with an electricity pole by the side of the road. The car's slow pace prevented a serious catastrophe.
