Synopsis

The current MLA of the ruling party is Maamannan, and Rathnavel is his local leader. Rathnavel, who gained wealth and influence from his father, did not want anyone to succeed him. Athiveeran, Maamannan's martial arts instructor son, and his father had a very tense relationship as a result of a caste-related incident from his youth. The confrontation between Rathnavel and Athiveeran over how the former treated Maamannan is the central theme of the film. In Mari Selvaraj's Maamannan, we observe how this conflict escalated into a larger altercation.
