Thiruvananthapuram: Minister for Culture Saji Cherian has said that a memorial will be built in the capital city as a mark of respect to eminent cinematographer and director Sivan. The Minister said this while inaugurating the 'Sivans Cultural Center', which was started in memory of Sivan. The Minister of Culture inaugurated the cultural center near Sivan Studio in Thiruvananthapuram. Former minister C Divakaran, producer G Suresh Kumar, directors TK Rajeev Kumar, Sangeeth Sivan, Santosh Sivan, and others were also present on the occasion.
The launch of Sivans YouTube channel was also held at the event. The two-day workshop conducted by director and cinematographer Santosh Sivan is the first program of the Sivans Cultural Centre. Sr. Manager of Canon India Marketing Gaurav Markan and his team conducted the class in this special workshop on still photography and cinematography held on the 26th and 27th of June.
