Toby is an action drama movie directed by debutant Malayalee director Basil AL Chalakkal. Features Raj B Shetty as the titular character Toby with Samyukta Hornad, Chaithra J Achar, Gopal Krishna Deshpande, Raj Deepak Shetty, and in other lead roles. The film Toby is produced by Ravi Rai Kailasa, Lighter Buddha Films, Coffee Gang Studios and Balakrishna Arwankar. Raj B Shetty himself has written the screenplay for the film Toby based on the story of TK Dayanand.

The cinematography of the film is handled by Praveen Shriyan, who is also the cinematographer of the films 'Ondu Motteya Kathe' and 'Garuda Gamana Vrishabha Vahana' and editing by Nitin Shetty. The dubbing coordinator for Malayalam is Satheesh Muthukulam.

After the commercially and critically successful Garuda Gamana Vrishabha Vahana, Toby is the film starring Raj B Shetty. Raj, who made waves in Kannada with films that are distinctive in terms of concept, performance, and creation, has just launched the title poster for his upcoming movie, "Toby". Agastya Films and Lighter Buddha Films collaborated on the second film after the cult movie "Garuda Gamana Vrishabha Vahana".

The involvement of Malayalees in the film's production has already garnered interest. Along with the movie's Malayalam director, Arshad Nakkoth, the production designer, Adarsh Palamattam, who created the sound for the movie, and the makeup artist, Ronex Xavier, are all Malayalis.

The music for the film 'Toby' is composed by Midhun Mukundan.

Toby movie was released in theaters on August 25, 2023. The film, which received great critical acclaim and audience support in other states, will be released in Kerala theaters in Malayalam on September 22, 2023. Dulquer Salmaan's Wayfarer Films is bringing the film to theaters in Kerala. Raj B Shetty's film Toby is digital premiering from 22 Decemebr 2023 on Sony LIV.
