Samara is a Malayalam Sci-Fi Thriller movie written and directed by Charles Joseph. Features Rahman, Bharath, Sanjana Dipu, and Binoj Villya in Samara as the lead characters with Rahul Madhav, Vivia Santh, Govind Krishna, Mir Sarwar, Dinesh Lamba, Veer Aryan, Neetu Chaudhary, and Sonali Sudan. The movie Samara is produced by MK Subhakaran and Anuj Varghese Villyadath under the banner of Peacock Art House.

The title poster was unveiled on 19^th January 2021.

The music for the film is composed by Deepak Warrier and sung by KK, Hariharan, Gayatri Ashokan, Lakshmi Mohan, Abhik Saha, and Matthias Ernst Holzmann.

Samara movie was released in theaters by Magic Frames Release. The Malayalam film Samara is streaming from 17 November 2023 on Simply South.

Synopsis

Dr. Alan is an ex-serviceman who now lives alone in Himachal after his wife filed for divorce following his fatal injury while serving in the army. His daughter Jaani is everything to him, and just as he prepared to bring her back to him, she had an accident in the snow and had a virus. Officer Antony became involved in the investigation and believes this was the start of a significant incident. The examination of this deadly virus's origin is what we see in Samara.
