The story of Abhilash Kumar, who owns a fancy shop and a courier service in Kottakkal, is told in Abhilasham, along with his fascinating efforts to realize his longtime dream. Saiju Kurup, who has played a variety of roles and is well-known among the audience, plays Abhilash. Tanvi Ram plays Sherein, a childhood friend and friend well known for her roles in the films 2018, Ambili, and Mukundan Unni Associates. A crucial role is also played by Arjun Ashokan.

Director Shamzu Zayba

Previous works by Shamzu Zayba include the anthology short story Madhuram Jeevamruthabindu and the Dulquer Salmaan-produced film Maniyarayile Ashokan.

Shamzu Zayba began filming of Abhilasham movie beginning on 17^th October 2023, at Mukkam in Kozhikode. The shooting started in a historic ancestral home in the nearby town of Mukkam's Areekulangara. At a fair ceremony that was attended by the crew members and relatives, producers Shankar Das and Ann Sariga Antony lit the first Bhadradeepam to begin the celebration. The first clap was given by Ashok Nelson and Binoy Paul and the filming then began with a switch-on ceremony by the renowned filmmaker Arun Gopy. The shooting of the film Abhilasham will be completed in Mukkam, Areekode, Kozhikode, Kottakkal, and Malappuram.

The music for the film 'Abhilasham' is composed by Sreehari K Nair from the lyrics by Sharafu and Suhail Koya.
