Vellimegham is a psycho-thriller movie directed by the famous director Sainu Chavakkadan. Features Vijay Gaureesh, Rupesh Babu, Sunil Aravind, Thalaivasal Vijay, Subramaniapuram Vichithiran, Athira Murali, Charmila, Goundamani and Nakshatra Raj in Velli Megham as the lead characters. The movie Vellimegham was produced by Sunil Aravind under the banner of Jet Media Production House for the first film in the Tamil Industry and the fourth film. The screenplay and dialogues for the film are written by Covai Balu from the story of Yadukrishnan.

Tonse Alex is the DOP of the film and Hari G Nair is in charge of editing. The executive producers are Salomi Johney Pulithookkil and PG Ramachandran and the co-director is Pravi Nair.

After his first film made him renowned in Tamil, director Raj Kumar, also referred to as RK, was unable to direct another picture for eight years. Santhosh and Raghu, two young Tamil screenwriters, have been following RK with their stories over the years. RK rejected several stories, but in the end, he showed interest in the recently composed narrative. Following the director's directions, he began composing the script. Everyone was astonished by some of the occurrences that happened in the interim.

The Tamil film Velli Megham presents a different story that no one has told in the film. This is also the sixth film helmed by famous director Sainu Chavakkadan. A distinct form of psychothriller, Vellimegham shows a film inside a film. According to the makers, this movie will be unique in Tamil. The antagonist in the picture will be portrayed by Vichithiran, who was one of the protagonists in the wildly popular Tamil movie Subramaniapuram. Additionally, Sunil Arvind portrays the actor RK.

The pooja of the movie Velli Megham helmed by Sainu Chavakkadan was held last day at the Kalamassery PWD Guest House Hall on 19 October 2023. Ernakulam MP Hibi Eden lit the Bhadradeepam. The audio release was done by GCDA Chairman K Chandran Pillai. The title of the movie was officiated by BJP State Vice President AN Radhakrishnan. The switch-on was performed by actress Charmila and actor Arun.

The shooting of the film Velli Megham began on 18 November 2023 in Chennai and Kerala. Filming of Velli Megham is progressing in Chennai, Kochi, and Vagamon.

The music for the film 'Velli Megham' is composed by Saibalan from the lyrics of Aju Sajan.
