Mura is a Malayalam action movie directed by Muhammed Musthafa. The film Mura features Suraj Venjaramoodu as the central storyline. The film also stars Hridhu Haroon, Parvathi Malaa, Kani Kusruti, Kannan Nayar, Jobin Das, Anujith Kannan, Yadu Krishnan, Vigneshwar Suresh, Krish Hassan and Sibi Joseph. The intense drama movie is being produced by Riya Shibu under the banner of HR Pictures, a leading motion picture production and distribution company in Kerala. The action-packed film Mura is written by Suresh Babu, the author of the popular comedy series Uppum Mulakum. The other main characters in the film are played by newcomers.

The cinematography of the film is handled by Fazil Nassar and Chaman Chakko is the editor. The executive producer of the film is Rony Zachariah. The chief associate director of the movie Mura is Niranjan.

The cast and crew then unveiled the teaser for Mura, which is helmed by Muhammed Musthafa following Kappela. The action-packed teaser for the movie is set against the backdrop of the capital city. Given the audience's enthusiasm and praise for "Kappela," the teaser itself implies that Musthafa is going to be in for a visual treat.

Malayali actor Hridhu Haroon, who also plays the lead in Mura, is coming off of great performances in 'Thugs' directed by Brinda Master, 'Mumbaikar' directed by Santosh Sivan, 'All We Imagine as Light' which garnered acclaim at the CAN Film Festival and the popular series 'Crash Course' on Amazon Prime.

The movie helmed by Muhammed Musthafa has its title poster revealed on 8 January 2024. Four young people are seen in scenes on the title poster itself, implying that the story takes place in Thiruvananthapuram. It was widely reported that the casting call for the film Mura, which explores several issues, offered preference to Thiruvananthapuram residents.

Following the enormous creative and commercial success of Kappela, on 3 January 2024 in Thiruvananthapuram, the new film by actor Muhammed Musthafa started the shoot. The major locations are Thiruvananthapuram, Madurai, Tenkasi and Bangalore. The shooting of the film Mura is progressing.

In this movie, which places a lot of emphasis on newbies, those who are not yet familiar with the camera are recognized and offered a two-week training program. These fresh faces can be encountered in several societal spheres. Through this video, Mustafa is also attempting to provide a sufficient opportunity for a group of young people. The selection of stars for each role was completed by bringing those who resembled the characters of the film from colleges and roadsides directly to the audition center for training. In this film, director Mustafa is also giving a chance to a group of young people in Malayalam cinema.

The music and BGM for the film 'Mura' is composed by Christy Joby and the lyrics are by Anwar Ali and Vinayak Sasikumar. The songs of Mura are sung by Sreenath Bhasi, Vijay Yesudas, Sithara Krishnakumar, Lal Krishna, and the Rap by Rhyko.

The intense action-packed Mura movie was released in theaters on November 8, 2024.

Synopsis

In their early twenties, Mura is essentially about four boys. In order to make quick cash, the unemployed people choose to join the gangster world. At one point, Ani, a prominent gang boss, asks the lads if they want to achieve anything huge after being pleased by their approach. The boys agree to execute the task because they believe that one operation could solve all of their problems. Mura shows us what the big deal is, how it was carried out, and what transpired when it was finished.
