Following Sumathi Valavu, pre-production work is in progress for a second movie that will be filmed in and around Taliparamba, with Think Studios serving as a production partner, according to producer Murali Kunnumpurath.
Dream Big Films, Sree Gokulam Movies' distribution rights partner, has acquired Sumathi Valavu's all-India distribution rights, bringing the Malikappuram team back together. Dream Big Films is the company behind the massively successful movies Jailer, Jawaan, Leo, Ponniyin Selvan: II, Manjummal Boys, etc. The film is being prepared in the horror-comedy genre and tells the story against the backdrop of the 1990s. Arjun Ashokan and Malavika Manoj's movie begins filming in August 2024. This movie also marks the reunion of Malikappuram's super hit film director, Vishnu Sasi Shankar, screenwriter Abhilash Pillai, and music director Ranjin Raj.

I, along with Mr. Sanil Kumar B of Speedwing Services and Waterman Films LLP, will be producing a new movie helmed by Mr. Vishnu Sasi Shankar and penned by Abhilash Pillai. You'll be able to see our ideal film this year. We truly appreciate the love and prayers that everyone has for us."

Synopsis
