Kanguva movie released in cinemas worldwide on November 14, 2024. The movie was earlier planned to be released on 10 October 2024 and was postponed to a new date. Siruthai Siva's Kanguva is currently being readied for the OTT release. As a pre-release, Kanguva's OTT rights were purchased by Amazon Prime, and the streaming rights brought about Rs 100 crore. Initially, it was announced that on 13 December the movie would go live on streaming services. Little earlier the film was available for streaming on Amazon Prime from 9 December 2024 itself.

Initially, it was agreed that eight weeks after the movie's premiere, OTT streaming would begin. But according to Times Now, the movie will now begin streaming on December 13 due to its dismal box office results. However, next month will only see the publication of the South Indian language editions. Additionally, there are hints that the Hindi version will be made available in January.

Synopsis

The story of Kanguva takes place between 2024 and 1070. Francis Theodore is a bounty hunter in 2024 who assists law enforcement in locating hard-to-capture criminals. Angelina, his ex-girlfriend, is essentially his competitor in this industry. (ads) Francis once meets a small boy while on a mission to apprehend a criminal and feels a connection with him. In Kanguva, we see what it is and how it relates to the story of 1070.
