Kolahalam (The Commotion), a Malayalam comedy-family drama movie, is directed by Rasheed Parambil, after Bhagavan Dasante Ramarajyam. The film Kolahalam features Santhosh Puthan, Kumar Sunil, Achuthanandan, Swathy Mohanan, Chitra Prasad, Priya Sreejith, Anusha Aravindakshan, Rajesh Nair, Sathyan Chavara, Vishnu Balakrishnan, and Rajeev Pillath. The film, which is set against a family backdrop, casts Vishal Viswanathan, Sharan Panicker, Sathyan Prabhapuram, Afsal K Aziz, Dilsha, Aarathi Muralidharan, Devi Krishna, Jayaram Ramu, Sreelakshmi S, Ali Marvel, and Girish Ongallour. The movie Kolahalam was produced by Santosh Puthan, Rajesh Nair, Sudhi Payyappat, and Jack Chembakk under the banners of Fine Films and Puthan Films. Synopsis

Within the limited space of a small house, a moving story takes place over the course of 16 hours, from the last breath of an elderly man until his funeral ceremonies. An unexpected robber breaks in just as the old man's life is slowly slipping away from him, causing a series of unanticipated occurrences. The household is startled by a stupid misstep among the thief's desperate attempts, much to his dismay, and this leads to an unexpected comedy of errors. The house fills with mourning family members and friends as word of the elderly man's passing spreads, setting the stage for the funeral. (ads) The thief's fruitless attempts to escape are met with increasingly humorous impediments as the family really attends to funeral preparations, adding much-needed humor to an otherwise somber situation.
