G Marthandan has finished filming Ottam Thullal, a funny horror film that shows some of the incidents that occur in the village of Methanam, where regular people live. The majority of the shooting took place in Kochi's Panangad hamlet.

The hallmark of Malayalam comedy is the art form of Ottam Thullal. Here, Ottam Thullal and renowned director G Marthandan are involved. What peculiarities does this Ottam Thullal have?

The Anjumana Devi Temple at Edappally hosted the launch on Monday, 5 May 2025. In front of a sizable crowd of filmmakers, family members, and employees, Harisree Ashokan and music director Rahul Raj performed the switch-on ceremony to start the movie. The first clap was also given by Bibin George and Vishnu Unnikrishnan. The Anjumana Temple was also the location for the first day of filming.

The events that occur in the village of Methanam are presented in this movie entirely through humor, with a hint of dread thrown in. This movie portrays a village's green life in an incredibly realistic way. Every character in it is someone we see and hear in our own society. For this movie, Marthandan has chosen a presentation that emphasizes numerous individuals rather than a hero.

The new title poster for Ottam Thullal, which was directed by G Marthandan, who has helmed successful flicks like Daivathinte Swantham Cleetus and Paavada, has been released on 3 May 2025.
