Velleppam, a Malayalam romantic comedy movie directed by debutant Praveen Raj Pookkadan. Starring Akshay Radhakrishnan and Noorin Shereef in the lead roles with Roma Asrani, Shine Tom Chacko, Sreejith Ravi, Kailash, Sohan Seenulal, Sajid Yahiya, Sunil Paravoor, Fahim Zafar, Vaishakh, Sanif, Philip Thokalan, Roshna Anna Roy, Kshama, Bhadra Venkateshwaran. The movie is produced by Jins Thomas and Dwarak Uthayashankar under the banner of Baroque. Jyotish Shankar, who has won notable national and state awards for the movies Pathemari and Kumbalangi Nights, has done the art direction, including the notable church. The movie is scripted by Jeevan Lal, and Pramod Pappan is the executive producer.

Appapattu, "Mukil Chattiyil" was released by Prithviraj Sukumaran through his Facebook page on 22^nd October 2021. The song of the movie is sung by Job Kurian and Sudhi Nettoor. Leela L Girish Kuttan composed the music after 'Poomaram' and 'Thottappan' with the lyrics by Manu Manjit. The song is based on Velleppam Street in Thrissur and the events taking place there, and the song has already hit social media.

The story is set against the backdrop of Vellapangadi in Thrissur, accompanied by love and fantasy. The movie presents the culture, religious harmony, and food diversity of Thrissur with the accompaniment of comedy.

The audio launch of the film 'Velleppam' was held at Thrissur. Director Praveen Pookkadan, producers Jins Thomas and Dwarak Uthayashankar, director Anil Radhakrishnan Menon, actors Tovino Thomas, Unni Mukundan, Shine Tom Chacko, and Malavika Menon were present on the occasion.

Velleppam movie was released in theaters on January 9, 2026. The movie was earlier planned to be released in January 2022 and was postponed.

Synopsis
