Kathanar Malayalam movie directed by Rojin Thomas, after the super hit movie '#Home'. Features Jayasurya as the title character Kathanar. Produced by Gokul Gopalan under the banner of Sree Gokulam Movies. Co-produced by VC Praveen and Baiju Gopalan.

Vijay Babu under the banner Friday Film House announced the movie and later Gokulam Gopalan of Sree Gokulam Movie took up the production of the movie. The biggest budget movie in Mollywood, the first Malayalam film made entirely in virtual production technology used in foreign films such as Jungle Book and Lion King. Senthil Nathan heads the virtual production and Vishnu Raj is the CGI head.

Kathanar movie will be released in seven languages.
