Vellam is a Malayalam family entertainer movie is inspired by Murali Kunnumpurath's life. Along with Jayasurya, Samyuktha Menon and Sneha Paliyeri will play the lead roles. Indrans will be making a guest appearance with Siddique, Sreelakshmi, Babu Annur, Santhosh Keezhattoor, Baiju Santhosh, Nirmal Palazhi, Johny Antony, Edavela Babu, Jins Baskar, and Priyanka. There are also many newcomers in the movie.

The film is directed by G Prajesh Sen. Jayasurya and Prajesh has teamed up after hit 'Captain'. Produced by Josekutty Madathil, Yadu Krishna, Ranjith Manambarakkatt under the banner Friendly Productions. Music and background scored by Bijibal. Filmed in full sync-sound technology. Sneha M (Sneha Paliyeri) is an award-winning dubbing artist. She has won Kerala State Film Award for Best Dubbing Artist for Eeda in 2017 and Lilli in 2018.

The cinema tells the story of Murali, a drunkard from Kannur.

Vellam movie became the first Malayalam film to hit theaters after the Covid-19 crisis on January 22^nd of 2021, distributed by Central Pictures. Digital streaming outside India is available on Olyflix from 5^th February 2021 onwards.

Synopsis

Murali work in a tile plant wedded to Sunitha, and they have a little girl. Murali is a drunkard, and he no longer goes to work nowadays. He can't begin a day without having some liquor, and the family had experienced a great deal of embarrassment in view of the present circumstance of Murali.
The occasions that occurred in Murali's life in his deaddiction venture is the thing that we see in the cinema.
