The film Chithini is released
Ratheesh Ram is handling the cinematography of the film and Johnkutty does the editing. This is also the seventh film produced by East Coast. The chief associate director of the film is Subhash Elampal and the associate directors are Anoop Sivasevan, Asim Kottoor, Saju Pottayilkada, and Anoop. Another highlight is the reunion of the "Kallanum Bhagavathiyum" team. Rajasekaran is the executive producer.

The film Chithini is packed up on 2 March 2024 enjoying and experiencing after 52 days of shooting without a schedule break. The shooting of the movie 'Chithini' by East Coast Vijayan started in Palakkad on 15 January 2024. The shooting was completed in beautiful locations like Kawa, Dhoni Forest, Puducherry, Chinganchira, Kodumba, and Walayar.
The tentatively titled horror family emotional thriller East Coast Production No. 7 titled 'Chithini'. The title Chithini was calligraphed by KP Muraleedharan.
The pooja for the film, scripted and directed by East Coast Vijayan was performed switch-on ceremony at Edappally Anchumana Devi Temple on 24 October 2023.
The music for the film is composed by Ranjin Raj, a prominent young music director with the lyrics by East Coast Vijayan, Santhosh Varma, and Suresh. There are four songs in the film Chithini. The singers are Sathyaprakash, Harisankar, Kapil Kapilan and Sanah Moidutty. Folk song artists from Wayanad have also featured in a folk song in this film. Kala Master does the dance choreography.
Chithini movie released worldwide in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Kannada languages besides Malayalam by East Coast Reel & Real Entertainments Release on September 27, 2024. The movie was earlier planned to be released in cinemas on 2 August 2024 and was postponed due to a landslide in Wayanad. Filming has been completed at several locations in Palakkad and surrounding areas like Malampuzha, Kava, Dhoni Forest, Puducherry, Chinganchira, Kodumba, Walayar, Chittoor, Thathamangalam, Kollengode, and Kalamandalam etc. The post-production work of this film has started.

Synopsis
The main protagonists of this film are CI Alan and his wife Seetha, who was recently transferred to Wayanad. The locals at the location where Alan was deployed saw some strange deaths and thought it was the spirit of Chithini, a Tamil woman who had passed some years ago while giving birth. The audience follows Alan's quest to discover the real reason behind Chithini's passing in this East Coast Vijayan film.LEAD CAST
