Soorarai Pottru is the first Diwali film from Tamil Nadu in 2020. The film directed by Sudha Konkara, starring Surya and Aparna Balamurali, Urvashi, Mohan Babu, and Paresh Rawal in the lead roles. The film is based on Captain GR Gopinath's autobiography 'Simply Fly: A Deccan Odyssey'.

The film tells the life story of Captain Gopinath, who started Budget Aviation or Budget Airlines in India.

Soorarai Pottru released on the OTT platform by Amazon Prime. The film released in Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu and Kannada languages.

Synopsis

Nedumaran Rajangam otherwise known as Maaran is known as a business person who has the fantasy about making an aviation organization that will be reasonable to the everyday person. Discovering financial specialists was an extreme errand for Maaran and he needed to forfeit a ton to keep up this dream.
