Malayankunju is a Malayalam survival drama movie. Starring Fahadh Faasil as the lead character with Rajisha Vijayan, Indrans, Jaffer Idukki, and Deepak Parambol. State award-winning director Fazil is the producer. Debut Sajimon Prabhakar is the director and was written by Mahesh Narayanan. Mahesh does the cinematography and editing also. Arjun Benn supporting Mahesh in editing.

Fahadh will be making his acting debut in Fazil's 'Kaiyethum Doorath'. Eighteen years later, father and son reunite on the silver screen. Malayankunju is the fourth film between Fahad and Mahesh Narayanan. Their previous films were 'Take Off', 'C U Soon' and 'Malik'. Sajimon has been the associate director of VK Prakash and Mahesh Narayanan.

The movie was announced on December 14^th, 2020. Filming begins at the end of January 2021.

The music for the film Malayankunju is composed by AR Rahman after a long in Mollywood after the 1992 super hit movie 'Yodha'. A mellifluous composition by 'Isai Puyal' AR Rahman, 'Cholappenne' the mellow slow-paced single rendered in the soulful voice of Vijay Yesudas to the heart-warming lyrics penned by Vinayak Sasikumar is so soothing.

Malayankunju movie was released in theaters by Century Films on July 22^nd of 2022. There was a rumor that the movie is releasing through Amazon Prime Video as a direct OTT release and expected on 2022 Onam. The digital premiere of the movie Malayankunju was on 11^th August 2022 on Amazon Prime Video.

Synopsis

The main character is Anil Kumar, also known as Anikuttan. He works from home fixing electronics to make a living. He has a strange personality and lacks empathy, and there are good reasons for this. He became this unpleasant guy as a result of his sister's infidelity and the death of his father. The main conflict occurs when Anikuttan is buried behind a mountain of dirt and rocks due to a landslide.
