Kenjira was awarded Best Paniya Film and won Rajat Kamal and Rs. 1,00,000/- each by the producer and the director. 'Kenjira' was selected for the Indian Panorama 2019 and won the Best Language Film award at the National Film Awards and three Kerala State Awards. It was also nominated for Best Second Film at the State Film Awards. The movie was selected for screening at the Cannes Film Festival, but the screening did not take place due to Covid aggravation. 'Kenchira' has garnered critical acclaim at various festivals, including the International Film Festival Kerala 2019 (IFFK) and the Kolkata International Film Festival 2019. The 2016 film 'Amoeba' and the 2012 film 'Chayilyam' are the previous films by Manoj Kana.
Kenjira movie was released on August 17th of 2021 by Action OTT.

Synopsis
After 20 years of theater activity among the tribal people, film director and theater activist Manoj Kana painted his priceless experience on a large platform, which led to the creation of the movie Kenjira. The "Paniya" tribe, who have always been brutally exploited, shows up on TV to represent their own suffering.
