Kayattam Malayalam movie directed by Sanal Kumar Sasidharan after the internationally acclaimed 'S Durga' Akka Sexy Durga and 'Chola'. Features Manju Warrier in the lead role with Ved and Gaurav Raveendran. Produced by Shaji Mathew, Aruna Mathew, and Manju Warrier under the banner of Niv Art Movies and Manju Warrier Productions. Sujith Koyickal, Ratheesh Eettillam, Devanarayanan, Sonith Chandran, Astha Gupta, Ashita, Nandu, and Bhupendra Khurana saw in the cast. The cinematography is by Selvaraj Chandru. Bineesh Chandran, Binu G Nair are the executive producers.

"Kayattam" is shot in the dangerous Himalayan mountains. The film examines how society views a woman traveling alone. Another theme that the film puts forward is the ancient philosophy of Maya. The cinema is packed with a number of features, including just shooting on a mobile phone.

The video song that starts with 'Istako' has been released. Istako means in love - not in Malayalam, but in the Aharsamsa language. Aharsamsa is a special language developed for the film Kayattam. The film has 12 songs sung and recorded in the Himalayas. The songs are composed by Ratheesh Eetillam, penned by singers Devan Narayanan, Astha Gupta, and Sonith Chandran, along with Sanal Kumar Sasidharan.

Kayattam movie world Premiere screening at the 25^th edition of the Busan International Film Festival in October 2020.
