Shooting Commenced

Thaara Malayalam movie directed by Dheswin Prem. Features Nan Saravanan, who played the psycho criminal Christopher Fernandez in the 2018 movie 'Ratsasan', which rocked the South Indian cinema, is making his debut in the lead role in Malayalam. Anusree plays the central character Sithara. Sanal Aman plays the lead role of Shiva, notable for the movie 'Malik'. Vijilesh Karayad and Divya Gopinath are also in the lead roles. Produced by Sameer PM under the banner of Sameer Movies and Antonio Motion Pictures, Down Town Productions.

The film discusses the freedom and mutual understanding of male-female relationships, questions the injustice of masculinity. The story unfolds through Sithara and Siva traveling from Chennai to Kochi.

This is the first Malayalam film of Dheswin Prem, the director of the Tamil thriller movie 'Thoduppi'. He has already directed several commercials. Tamil films like 'Thoduppi', 'Uthirippookkal' and 'Mariyar Pootham' are produced by Sameer PM.

The title poster of Thaara was launched by Fahad Fazil, Surabhi Lakshmi, and Dileesh Pothan on their official social media pages on 14^th September 2021. The shooting of the movie has started.
