Vamanan: The Man in the Shadow Malayalam horror psycho-thriller movie directed by newcomer AB Binil. Features the natural actor in Malayalam cinema, Indrans, as 'Vamanan' as the lead character with Baiju Santosh in a pivotal role. The movie Vamanan is produced by Arun Babu KB and Samah Ali under the banner of Movie Gaang Private Limited. Raghu Venugopal and Rajeev Warrier are the executive producers. Nelson, Arun, Nirmal Palazhi, Jerry, Kalanthan Basheer, Sebastian, Binoj, George, Manu Bhagwat, Aditya Soni, Seema G Nair, and Dilsa are the other prominent actors. The story, screenplay, and dialogues for the film Vamanan are written by the director Binil himself. (ads)

The movie is about the survival of a family man who works as a homestay manager in a hilly village.

The pooja and switch-on ceremony of the movie Vamanan were held at the Kavalackal Devi Temple, Ernakulam, on 24^th November 2021. Director and actor Srikanth Murali performed the switch-on, and Seema G Nair did the first clap. The motion poster for the movie Vamanan was released on 7^th May 2022. The first look teaser of the movie "Vamanan" has been released on 27^th May 2022.

The music for the film Vamanan is composed by Nithin George with lyrics by Santosh Verma and Vivek Muzhakkunnu. The third official song of the film 'Vamanan' has been released on 25th September 2022. The song begins with "Idanenjil Theeyum..." penned by Santosh Verma and sung by Vidhu Prathap.

The shooting of the movie started on November 28^th of 2021 in Kuttikkanam. The small film was shot day and night in just 21 days.

The film Vamanan continues to be a success after 50 days. The function was held in Ernakulam on the occasion of the 50th-day exhibition success. No big stars were present on the fiftieth day.

Vamanan was released in theaters on December 16^th of 2022. The Malayalam movie Vamanan's digital rights were bagged by Mazhavil Manorama, and from 16^th June 2023, the digital streaming started.
