Imbam Malayalam full-length family entertainer movie is written and directed by Sreejith Chandran. Features Lalu Alex in Imbam as the lead character after Bro Daddy with Deepak Parambol, Meera Vasudevan, Darshana Sudarsan, and Irshad Ali. The movie Imbam is produced by Dr. Mathew Mampra under the banner of Bangalore-based movie production company Mampra Cinemas. The movie also stars Hridayam fame Kalesh Ramanand, Divya M Nair, Shivaji Guruvayur, Navas Vallikkunnu, Vijayan Karanthoor, Mathew Mampra, IV Junais, Jilu Joseph, directors Lal Jose, Boban Samuel, and many others. The full-length family entertainer is scripted by the director himself.

The cinematography of the film Imbam is handled by Nijay Jayan and the editor is Kuriakose Kudasseril. Jijo Jose is the associate director of the movie Imbam. The marketing of Imbam is dome by Snakeplant LLP.

The teaser for the upcoming movie Imbam starring Lalu Alex and Deepak Parambol was released on 24 September 2023.

The full-length family entertainer depicts the funny incidents in the life of Karunakaran, the manager of an old-time publishing house, and a young cartoonist named Nithin, who accidentally walks into his establishment. Imbam cinema comes with the distinction of having Lalu Alex in a full-length role, after Mohanlal Prithviraj's film Bro Daddy. Imbam is production no.2 from the banner and the first film was Cheraathukal.

Leading Malayalam director Sree Lal Jose performed the switch-on ceremony of the movie in Ernakulam in the presence of many prominent people in the film industry on 21^st April 2022. The official title look of Lalu Alex's film Imbam was released on 28 August 2022.

The shooting of the film is at the locations in Ernakulam, Kalady, Paravur, Thaikkattussery, Muvattupuzha, and Kozhikode. The shooting of Lalu Alex's Imbam movie was completed on 10 September 2022.

The four beautiful songs for the film 'Imbam' are composed by PS Jayhari with lyrics by Vinayak Sasikumar who gave credit to the beautiful songs like "Pavizha Mazha" from Athiran. The song starting with 'Mayika' was released on 16 September 2023. The film has National Award-winner Aparna Balamurali, Sreekanth Hariharan, Sithara Krishnakumar, and others singing the songs. The Aarambham song of Impham starring Lalu Alex and Deepak Parambol have released on 6 October 2023. Vineeth Sreenivasan has sung the song 'Aarambham' with lyrics by Vinayak Sasikumar and music by PS Jayhari. The official music rights of Imbam were bagged by Magic Frames Music of Listin Stephen.

Imbam movie was released in theaters on 27 October 2023. The movie was initially planned to be released in theaters in 2022 Onam and was postponed due to a delay in filming.

Synopsis

Beginning as a college thriller, the film follows Nidhin Samuel as he gets embroiled in a brawl at school and is subsequently suspended for his actions. Nidhin meets Karunakaran, the owner of the weekly Shabdam magazine. Despite a rocky beginning to their relationship, their shared appreciation of art allowed them to collaborate. In Sreejith Chandran's Imbam, we see the development of this affiliation as well as the difficulties that Shabdam faced.
