Thiruvananthapuram: World Heart Day is celebrated on September 29 under the leadership of the Hridayalaya Heart Foundation, Center for Advanced Genetic Studies, Chacka YMA, and Social Library. Kadakampally Surendran MLA will inaugurate the function at Chacka YMA at 8 am. Former mayor of Thiruvananthapuram Municipal Corporation K Sreekumar will be the chairman. State Film Academy Vice Chairman Premkumar will present the Hridayalaya award to journalist Rameshbiju Chacka, author of the book 'Prakrithiyum Hridayavum'.
