Anniversaries and Onam celebration of Manidevalayam

Thiruvananthapuram: The second anniversary of the 'Manidevalayam' old age home started under the leadership of the Kalabhavan Mani Sevana Samithy Charitable Society. The Onam celebration and the inauguration of the 'Mani Aksharaveedu' took place. The cultural conference was inaugurated by OS Ambika, Mani Aksharaveedu was inaugurated by V Sasi MLA and the Onam celebrations were inaugurated by film and serial star Jeeja Surendran.
The children who achieved high marks in SSLC and Plus Two examinations got compliments, financial assistance to cancer patients, distribution of Onam kit and prize giving were also held. Kalabhavan Mani Sevana Samithy Chairman Ajil Manimuthu presided. Secretary Rajesh Thirumeni, writer and Indiana Public School Chairman NP Sudarshanan, Manikandan, Sabu Neelakantan Nair, Sathyan Toll Mukku, Samithy Treasurer Shine Raj Attingal, Ranjith Attingal, and others spoke.
There was also the singing of the folk song 'Niravattam' performed by Maninadam.
