Narasimha Jyothi Award to Unni Mukundan

Narasimha Jyoti Award instituted by the Anayadi Bharana Samithi for those who have made a personal mark in the political, social, cultural, and film fields in connection with the 2023 Thiruvulsavam at the Anayadi Pazhayidom Narasimha Moorthi Temple, presented to film star Sri Unni Mukundan and Mavelikkara MP Kodikunnil Suresh gave away. Film director Kannan Thamarakkulam was the chief guest of the Narasimha Jyoti Award.

Anayadi Temple and Gaja Mela are famous for their histories. Anayadi Temple is the only temple where more than 100 elephants are paraded in Gaja Mela. More than 70 elephants are lined up for this year's Gaja Mela. As many as 800 devotees raise the elephants as a vow on the 9^th festival. The famous Anayadi Gaja Mela is held on 22 January 2023.

The Narasimha Jyoti Award is an award given in the name of God by the decision of the Devaswom Committee and the general meeting to individuals who have left their mark in the social, cultural, political, and film fields. The eigth person is Unni Mukundan.
