Murivu is an action psycho-thriller movie scripted and directed by K Shameer after the film Oru Jaathi Manushyan. The movie Murivu is produced under the banners of leading film production companies Way to Films and Beyond Cinema Creatives. Features Mass Films director Ajai Vasudev and famous scriptwriter cum producer Nishad Koya in important roles. Newcomer Krishna Praveena is the heroine. Apart from them the film also stars Shahrukh Shameer, Iranian actor Riyad Mohammad, Deependra, Jayakrishnan, Bhagat Venugopal, Anwar Luwa, Suryakala, Liji Joy, and many more newcomers.

The cinematographer is Harish AV and editing is handled by Jerin Raj. The chief associate director of the film is Unias S and the associate director is Shefin Sulfiker. The project is designed by P Sivaprasad. The titles for the film 'Murivu: The Sign of Psycho' is designed by Magic Moments.

'Murivu' is a very important film for newcomers. The teaser of the film has been released on 28 December 2023.

Ajay Vasudev and Nishad Koya are teaming up after 'Pakalum Pathiravum' and this is the first time that both of them are coming together in a full-length role.

A new production company is coming to Malayalam cinema Beyond Cinema Creatives. The pooja and switch-on of the film were held in Kochi on 15^th March 2023 at Vennala Thykkatt Sri Mahadeva Temple. Apart from the film's stars and crew, other celebrities also participated in the event.

The film, which started shooting on 16^th March 2023, is tentatively titled 'Production No. 2'. The pan-Indian film is available in five languages namely Malayalam, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, and Telugu.

The major locations of the action psycho-thriller film are Palakkad, Mannarkkad, Ottapalam, Thiruvilwamala, and Lakkidi in Wayanad. The movie, which stars renowned playwright and producer Nishad Koya and director of mass movies Ajay Vasudev, has wrapped up initial filming after 25 days of the shoot.

The music for the film is composed by Yunasiyo with the lyrics of Dilip Kutchira, Suhail Sultan, K Shemir, and Rajkumaran. Suhail Sultan's beautiful lyrics are also sung by Sithara Krishnakumar, Sreejish, Shyam Gopal, Anand Narayanan, P Jayalakshmi, and others. The dance sequences are choreographed by Shiju Muppathadom. Goodwill Entertainments owns the music rights of the film Murivu.

Murivu was released in theaters on June 14, 2024. The makers have announced that the film will be released in January 2024 but was postponed. The Malayalam film Murivu is streaming soon on Manorama Max.
