Edavela Babu received honours from "AMMA"

The 29^th Annual General Meeting of AMMA (Association of Malayalam Movie Artists) was held on 25^th June 2023 at Gokulam Convention Center in Kochi. 290 members attended the meeting which started at 11 am and the female members participated more. More than 80 members have submitted leave applications through letters. 9 people have disappeared within this one year. Tributes were paid to them and Premkumar delivered a memorial lecture. In the meeting presided over by President Mohanlal, General Secretary Edavela Babu presented the annual report, and the accounts were presented by Treasurer Siddique. Amma's new digital identity card was launched by Mr. Mohanlal by giving it to Mammootty.

At AMMA's 29^th Annual General Meeting, Mammootty and Mohanlal honoured Edavela Babu for his selfless contribution as "AMMA" (Association Of Malayalam Movie Artists) General Secretary for 24 continuous years. When discussing Babu's actions in the meeting, Mammootty used heartfelt words. On stage with them were vice president Maniyanpilla Raju, joint secretary Jayasurya, treasurer Siddique, and members of the working committee Ansiba and Swasika.

The meeting decided to hold the 30^th annual general body meeting on June 30^th next year (2024) and to hold the election of the new governing body on that day.

But despite announcing the date of the annual general meeting a long time ago, AMMA called the President and General Secretary of the Producers Association over the phone to protest that the members of the Kerala Film Producers Association were not given facilities to reach the meeting as they were shooting more than 5 films including that of the member of the governing body of the Kerala Film Producers Association. The proceedings were concluded at 4.30.
