Thiruvananthapuram: Avani Exhibition, a traveling exhibition created by the staff and students of Kozhikode Avani Institute of Design, an architectural and design school, has started at Kerala Lalithakala Akademi's Art Gallery at Vyloppilli Samskrithi Bhavan.

Film director Adoor Gopalakrishnan inagurated the show. Speakers included Dr. Soumini Raja, department head of architecture, ex-MLA Pradeep Kumar, architects Tony Joseph and George Chittoor, and others. On display are a variety of nature paintings, collaborative learning initiatives between instructors and students, creative models, research publications, and social interactions.

Exclusive experiences at the exhibition include an origami workshop for kids led by artist Anto George and clay sculptures created by architect Anjali Sujat. The pass for the exhibition is free, and anybody with an interest in the topic or study of architecture will have the chance to engage with specialists in an open forum. On Sunday, the show will come to an end.

There will be more exhibitions in Kochi, Coimbatore, and Bangalore, following the ones in Kozhikode and Thiruvananthapuram.
