Pan-Indian film "Cicada"

Cicada is a Malayalam movie directed by Sreejith Edavana. Features Young actor Rajith CR is coming back in a new getup after ten years in the film, Jaise Jose Pallipaden who shines in character roles in South Indian films including 2018, Thalanagaram 2, is in a powerful role, and Gayathry Mayoora is coming as the heroine in Cicada as the lead characters with the cast of leading actors. The movie Cicada is produced by Vandana Menon and Gopakumar P under the banner of Theerna Films & Entertainment and Denon Mega Cinema.

The cinematography is handled by Naveen Raj and Shyjith Kumaran is the editor. The co-producers are Srinath Ramachandran, Kevin Fernandes, Salman Faris, Gauri Timbal, and Praveen Ravindran, and the line producer is Deepak Venugopal, Anish Attappadi, Prajith Nambiar, and Unni Eldo.

The pan-Indian film "Cicada" which was helmed by music director Sreejith Edavana Sukumaran who features several superhit songs, had its title and poster debuted by actor Tovino Thomas on 22^nd July 2023. On their social media profiles, almost 60 Malayalam movie personalities posted the poster. Cicada, a survival thriller film being produced in Malayalam, Tamil, Kannada, and Telugu, is the latest entry in the genre. The film Cicada movie has completed shooting in Bangalore, Kochi, and Attapadi.

Sreejith Edavana is winning over music fans with the Alphonse Puthren-directed song "Nenjodu Cherthu" which also stars Nivin Pauly and Nazriya Nazim. Sreejith, who has composed the soundtrack for numerous films such as Shikkari Shambhu, Madhura Naranga, Thirimali, and the Tharam Pathippicha Koodaram, Kaadhal En Kaviye, Melle Vannu Konjiyo, etc., Sreejith dons the director's mantle with the confidence of his presence in the music scene with popular songs. Sreejith Edavana penned and composed Cicada alone.

The music for the film is composed by Sreejith Edavana with the lyrics by Vivek Muzhakkunnu. Cicadas are distinctive in that they sing a variety of songs in all four major languages. Teeshya is the dance choreographer.

Cicada movie hit the screens on August 9, 2024.
