Houdini: The King of Magic is a Malayalam movie written and directed by G Prajesh Sen. Features Asif Ali as the titular character Houdini with Guru Somasundaram, Jagadish, and Srikant Murali. The movie Houdini is produced by Bollywood director Aanand L Rai's production company Color Yellow Productions, along with Karma Media And Entertainments of Shailesh R Singh and Prajesh Sen Movie Club is the executive producer.

The cinematography of the film is handled by Naushad Sherif and Bijith Bala does the editing. The chief associate director of the film is Gireesh Marar.

Asif Ali plays the lead in this movie, although Jayasurya played the hero in Prajesh Sen's previous three movies. The main theme of this movie is magic. The movie shows how magic affects a young man's life and the subsequent conflicts and occurrences. The part of the magician Ananthan is secured by Asif Ali. This movie includes Malayalam and Tamil actors. Among them, Guru Somasundaram, Prashanth Alexander, Srikant Murali, and others are well-known. A few carefully chosen fresh faces also appear in this movie.

G Prajesh Sen, who has directed a handful of films to keep the Malayali audience close to his chest, has launched the new film Houdini in Kozhikode. The movie was started at the Jaffer Khan Colony Lions Club Hall on Wednesday, 6^th September 2023 the day of Sree Krishna Jayanthi. The title for the film 'Houdini' is designed by Anand Rajendran. Prajesh Sen's previous movies are Captain, Vellam, and Meri Awas Suno.

Beginning with Gurusmarana

In honor of Prajesh Sen's master, the great Indian film director Siddique, filming has begun. The switch-on ceremony was performed at the beginning of the filming by Mrs. Anita Sathyan, the wife of VP Sathyan, the all-time favorite immortal of football fans. The first clap was also given by Bijith Bala.
