Thanupp is a Malayalam movie written and directed by Cinematographer Ragesh Narayanan. The film features newcomers Nidheesh Iritty and Jibiya TC as the lead characters. The movie Thanupp is produced by Anu Ananthan and Dr. Lakshmi under the banner of Kashi Cinemas and is the first production from the label. "Thanupp" has been nominated for the 55^th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa's competition selection. The only Malayalam film to be chosen for the "Official Selection For Best Debut Director of Indian Feature Film Award" category is Thanupp. The competitive segment includes five Indian films. 1. Razakaar (Telugu), Gharat Ganapti (Marathi), Mikka Bannada Hakki (Kannada), and Boong (Manipuri).

The official trailer of 'Thanupp' starring newcomers Nidheesh and Jibiya in the lead roles has been released on 23 September 2024.

The songs for 'Thanupp' have been bagged by Manorama Music. Bijibal's disciple Bibin Ashok is debuting as a music director through Thanupp with lyrics by Vivek Muzhakkunnu. The singers are Bijibal, Kapil Kapilan, Janaki Easwar and Sreenanda Sreekumar. Manorama Music released the first song from the film 'Thanupp' on 1 March 2024. The song was released with the lyrics penned by Vivek Muzhakkunnu and Biji Bal's student Bibin Ashok composed the music and the song starts with "Angulangale Virayathuyaru..." sung by Bijibal.

Thanupp movie released in theaters on October 4, 2024. The film's shooting was completed in Kannur, Wayanad, Ernakulam, Chennai, and Coorg.
