This film's portrayal is based on the social, political, and private lives and backgrounds of the Malabar people. In this film, the plot advances through the life of Nandan Narayanan, a young man who, after earning his B.Tech, drives his father's autorickshaw. Even though Nandan has strong friendships, her life is frequently hectic. These are all things that this friendship has led to. Meanwhile, Nandan's life has been impacted by a romantic relationship. Nandan's attempts to solve this issue include some very funny moments. The movie is marketed as the ideal family-friendly movie.

In Malayalam cinema, the brotherly duo of Berny and Ignatius produced a plethora of hits. In this movie, Binuraj forms Berny-Tansen, a new team consisting of Berny PJ and his son, Tansen John Berny. The film Oru Vadakkan Therottam marks the first time that Tansen, son of Berny (Berny-Ignatius), and Vasudev Krishna, son of the well-known playback singer P Unnikrishnan of the South, made their debuts. Vasudev Krishna, the son of singer P. Unnikrishnan, sings the song, which was written by Kaithapram Damodaran Namboothiri and composed by Berny and his son Tansen.
Oru Vadakkan Therottam movie will be released in theaters by Dream Big Films. The filming was completed in locations like Kozhikode, Vadakara, Onchiyam, Edacheri, Eramala, Iringannur, Chorode, and Ottapalam.
