Vadakkan Malayalam movie directed by Sajeed A. The film Vadakkan features Kishore and Shruthy Menon. The movie Vadakkan is produced by Jaideep Singh, Bhavya Nidhi Sharma, and Nusrat Durrani under the banner of Offbeat Studios, a subsidiary of Offbeat Media Group. The film Vadakkan, a supernatural thriller based on Sajeed's story is penned the screenplay and dialogues are by Unni R.

Vadakkan is inspired by ancient Dravidian mythology and folklore. The movie Vadakkan explores the world of supernatural thrillers entwined with enigmatic incidents from traditional North Malabar culture. The creators claim that it is a multi-genre endeavor that adheres to worldwide standards. Sound designer and Academy Award winner Resul Pookutty collaborates with Bijibal on music and Keiko Nakahara on cinematography. Zebunnisa Bangash, a singer-songwriter from Pakistan, is another member of this group.

Being the first Malayalam movie to appear in BIFFF Market 2024's International Projects Showcase category, Vadakkan is proud of this accomplishment. The Locarno International Film Festival, the Cannes Film Festival, the Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival, and the Cannes Film Festival are just a few of the prestigious international film festivals that the International Federation of Film Producers Associations (FIAPF) honors and recognizes.

Famous people, including Mexican filmmaker Guillermo del Toro, South Korean film director and screenwriter Park Chan-wook, British filmmaker and comedian Terry Gilliam, New Zealand film director and screenwriter Peter Jackson, and American film director and television producer William Friedkin, have all been guests of honor at the BIFFF over the years. Being positioned among the world's most advanced projects in the BIFFF industry is a noteworthy accomplishment for the creators of the Vadakkan.

Rahul Sadasivan, the director of well-known movies such as Bramayugam and Bhoothakaalam, responded to the news with a statement expressing his happiness. He says "It is really satisfying that Vadakkan has gained international fame. We are overjoyed that Malayalam cinema has gained such international prominence. We are glad to reiterate the industry's diversity and inventiveness".

"With Vadakkan, our aim is to redefine Indian cinema by seamlessly combining hyperlocal narratives with global sensations supported by a world-class cast and crew," said Jaideep Singh, Founder and Producer, Offbeat Media Group. It's not so much a supernatural thriller as it is an homage. To our illustrious cultural past, which has enormous global tourism potential. Vadakkan will be shown at this year's Cannes in May as part of the Marché du Film, a film market organized under the official sponsorship of the yearly Festival de Cannes in an attempt to attract a broad audience.

Vadakkan presently plans to be released in Kannada, Tamil, and Telugu and is currently underway to dub in other regional languages.
