Pokkiri is an action thriller movie directed by Prabhu Deva. The film Pokkiri features Vijay and Asin as the lead characters. The film also stars Prakash Raj, Nassar, Mukesh Tiwari, Vadivelu, Sriman and Napoleon as lead actors. Indian actress and model Mumaith Khan and Indian choreographer cum film director Prabhu Deva make guest appearances.

The cinematography of the film Pokkiri is handled by Nirav Shah while Kola Bhaskar does the editing.

In Kerala, Prabhudeva's 4K Remastered Dolby Atmos version of Pokiri, which features Vijay in the lead role, is being re-released by Varnachithra. On June 21^st 2024, the action thriller Pokiri will be released worldwide.

The music for the film 'Pokkiri' is composed by Mani Sharma, who also composed the original Telugu version of Pokkiri starring Mahesh Babu.

Pokkiri movie was initially released theatrically on January 12, 2007. The movie Pokkiri is became a commercial success, running for more than 200 days at the box office. Vijay's Pokkiri was re-released multiple times in Kerala.
